I was stranded in Carlisle and had to get all the way back to Leicester. My alternator had packed in and It looked like the most awkward time consuming job to replace it, these lads made light work of it and I was on my way in no time got all the way back home no problems. Thanks alot it's just a shame I'm too far away to use the garage often.
This garage offers a personal service that over the 20years that I have used them I have enjoyed and they have never failed me. They have gone out of their way on occasions to ensure that my needs have been met.Today, 13.06.18, on the eve of a 2000 mile driving holiday, with the car nearing but not at a full service mileage point, I called in without an appointment and asked them to check the running gear to cover my holiday.Imagine my surprise when this simple request turned into a major job when the locking wheel nut socket broke in use on the first wheel due to the overtightening of the nut by a tyre replacement outlet who were the most recent people to take the wheels off!Another nut was welded to the top of each locking wheel nut in place, in order that a spanner could be used to remove the nuts, just so that the brake pads could be visually checked, a task successfully completed without appointment and while I was there.If a puncture was to happen while on holiday, or any other time for that matter, the removal of any wheel would have proved impossible!I continue to recommend this garage without reservation.
In an emergency CARepairs came to my rescue right away when others fobbed me off. Your phone number is permanently in my diary . work needed was done in record time I am so grateful, thank you, will most certainly use your services again

I had a very bad experience using this garage "Carlisle auto repair" . Misquoted price and carried out unnecessary work without permission and was charged 286 yet the problem with my car continued.I had to go to another garage to fix it for 45. And yes D Scott was the Mechanic and now he is writing their own review? Made a complaint to the garage owner who was very aggressive yet the problem wasn't fixed. Thought about taking them to court but backed down as money was not large enough to waste courts time.All I can say is be careful, "Bait and switch scheme exists" and for one of the mechanic to write his own review speaks volume.YES I WAS YOUR CUSTOMER . YOU ALSO FITTED A BATTERY THAT I DIDN'T NEED AND TWICE THE COST. YOU REMEMBER REPORTING YOURSELF TO TRADING STANDARDS TO COVER YOURSELF WHEN I MADE A SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST TO TAKE YOU TO COURT? I WILL NEVER GO TO YOUR GARAGE NOR RECOMMEND IT AS SIMPLE AS THAT AND DON'T WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEW.
