This market is now turning more into a food hall with a variety of food on sale. I would recommend "The Burger Bar" they make the best burgers ever.
All different stalls & handy for parking. Definitely worth going fir a look, always end up buying loads. Shame some of the older stalls have gone. Plenty of cafs & easy to walk around not cluttered & always clean & tidy.
Has a really nice Thai cafe on a corner. Cheap and delicious. Also has a organic shop with a great range of stuff along with a cheese shop supplying from local farms.
Really liked Carlisle city centre. Good shopping area and friendly people. We travelled from Belfast to Newcastle to Carlisle via planes, trains and automobiles!!! Staying in the Hallmark Hotel Carlisle, which is really handy to the train station and taxi rank. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms could do with a freshen up, but good value for money
