Good place to walk and watch trains
I walk my dog here everyday 'it's a nice quiet place and a very pleasant walk.
Great place for a leisurley walk full of vibrant life with dragon flies, damsel flies, birds (the buzzards), and the new addition of a horse along with rabbits too!
Car parking for 4 or 5 cars but rarely full. Well marked paths allow access to part of the former Kingmoor sidings marshalling yards. Nature has well and truly taken over this area but careful inspection and you can still find signs of the past industrial use of this nature reserve. There is a wide range of fauna and flora to be discovered with a combination of woodland and bogs with a couple of decent sized ponds which have save wooden pathways laid down for you. Well worth a visit.
