Lovely park, just needs to bring the boats back. Got a cafe, bmx course and 4 full size football pitches.
Used to be lovely but has been unloved for a while now and looks a bit rough round the edges. Ponds are dirty and seem to have been somewhat abandoned by wildlife.
Great park for the locals. Usually very clean and tidy. TONS of dog walkers, 99% of whom are friendly. The cafe is great, with very well priced snacks.The kids playground is really well looked after, and a dog free zone. A good amount of birdlife on the pond. And a wonderful little railway on the island.Great for anyone who feels like taking a walk / stroll / coffee / alone time / meeting folk / taking kids out etc.
A lovely park with pond, ducks and swans. Young and old love to walk along the level but meandering pathways by the pond and feed the ducks. The path is suitable for a wheelchair although assistance may be needed to go up the slight incline to the bridge. Good cafe with seating indoors and out. Dogs are welcome. Their local Lakeland ice cream is delicious and reasonably priced. Children's play park, a miniature railway, toilet facilities and good parking. A great place to spend some time outdoors without breaking the bank.
It's a beautiful place, it's nice to walk around the pond although as an adult it doesn't take very long. There is also a play area for children which is good. I used to like the fountains but unfortunately they no longer work.
