I arrived to what I believe is said to be a more high end purveyor of good Italian scran. I ordered the squid starter which arrived after my colleagues, although the coating and flavours were very good. The squid had been over cooked rather a lot. The next part of my meal was charred belly pork. This was exceptional. If not for the over cooked squid I would have given 5 stars. The price is rather higher than I would have expected. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were very attentive. Sadly there are better alternatives in Carlisle. Which I feel offer more for less.

Bright and clean. Good reception from staff. Pre-Christmas meal so very busy but didn't feel crowded. Good choices on the menu. I had calamari / pizza / dessert. All quite acceptable. Table service good but it slowed down later in the meal. They could have prompted us re. more drinks and water on the table should be a standard and not have to be asked for. Payment made on the way out at reception desk. A friendly departure so would visit again.
Fabulous. Couldn't fault it. Food was gorgeous and the staff were so efficient and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.
