Lovely camp site, well positioned if you want to explore Hadrian's wall, Carlisle, Hexham, Newcastle and surrounding areas, I like the fact that you have to use your own facilities as this keeps the cost down, the CMC should have more sites like this.
Very peaceful and tranquil surroundings set within woodlands.
Can only give this site 3 stars because of lack of toilet block. However, this was a very quiet site, amongst trees and away from main roads.
Great place in beautiful setting, lack of amenities didn't seem to deter people as it was full. Warm welcome from friendly staff.
Little gem of a campsite. No shower rooms etc but has water and waste disposal/chemical waste. Hundreds of acres of woodland for dog walking. Wardens very warm
