Friendly staff, so helpful. Lots to do and places to visit
I was part of a cycle-trek team of five and we spent some time at this beautiful and rustic campsite which I highly recommend! The owners are very friendly and we had such a good time playing trad. Celtic tunes at the campfire with fiddle player Emma (one of the owners). One of my cycling mates travelled with a backpacker-guitar and Emma had an extra guitar available for me! It was such good fun playing music & gazing at the stars at the same time. One of the highlights was to hear lovely classical music in the bathroom... and to hear Vivaldi's Concertio for 2 mandolins whilst having a hot shower! For all of you (musical) travellers: Do not miss this site and bring an instrument!
This is a pleasant, level small camp/caravan site with simple basic facilities which are nice and clean. Don't expect great mobile or wifi signal but do expect a friendly welcome and good value for money. We arrived late after journey trouble and owner helped us get set up unlike some sites who would tell you off for being late or shove you in a late arrivals pen. Kids loved running around and ball games area. We stayed for a week and explored but will come again and use as a stopover when we do the highlands as handy only 15min from M6/M74.
Smallholding with 2 hardstandings and 4 grass pitches with electric hook-up. Fabulous quiet secluded spot. Clean toilet and shower facilities of a quirky rustic nature . Wash up from solar powered hot water. There is a manual ( non electric) washing machine with a mangle but I think this is more for comedy effect. Owner is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Prices are very good value. I highly recommend this site and will be revisiting in the future.
