Unable to register for repeat prescriptions online
I've had only positive experiences with this surgery. I actually moved from a rival practice because it would take weeks to get an appointment. Convenient online service, helpful staff, and a very handy satellite branch in currock. My children are with the same surgery and have been seen on the same day when they've had any medical issues. I know through experience how poor other surgeries are in Carlisle and in my opinion this is the best.They do not do inaccurate phone consultations like the mega practice in Carlisle.
It is rare that I have a positive experience when visiting this surgery. The only reason we haven't changed to another one is because we are in the middle of a move and may need to find one in our new catchment. Some of the reception staff are very rude and obnoxious. One or two are friendly and helpful. I am sure the rules on booking appointments change to suit whoever is answering the phone. Its usually ring on the morning for an appointment but occaisonally if you get someone nice they will try to book you in the next day if possible if that day is full, otherwise its an all out war to be next in the queue for someone to answer the phone at half 8 in the morning and if you don't get in you have to do this every morning until there is something available that day. Really helpful for working people. Most of the doctors are ok but again one or two are terrible and have a bad attitude. I know doctors don't know absolutely everything and they are only human but I at least expect someone to be friendly and make you feel at ease.
