We thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday lunch, we had the 3 courses, all where delicious.
Enjoyed a pre Christmas meal this evening, could not fault the food lovely as always. I would say the restaurant itself is in desperate need for some tlc. The curtains were hanging from the rail, cobwebs on the lights and the draws where the til point stand was falling to pieces. Also would say the waiting on staff weren't very attentive and the meal itself was very rushed. I don't expect people to be falling over me but it would be curtious to wish someone a good evening after spending a considerable amount of money.

Had a fantastic lunch at David's on a day trip to Carlisle. Food was wonderful. Decor was elegant and refined. Welcome was warm and courteous. Glad I made a reservation as I got the impression that it gets quite busy on a Friday.
Stayed for two night in Carlisle on a walking holiday and struggled to find a nice restaurant for dinner. We only had walking cloths so werent the best dressed of people. We found Davids on google and despite feeling under dressed decided to give it a go. What a great discussion that turned out to be, Chris made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door, food fantastic, service fantastic. Went back on our second night which turned out to be Chriss night off, everything just as good. I couldnt recommend the highly enough.
