Nice two night stay with friends. Hotel comfortable and staff friendly.

Very warm reception on arrival, very welcoming. Fantastic meal couldn't fault. Stayed a couple of nights. Free car parking in city centre. Swimming pool fantastic. Definitely coming back again.
A third visit now to the Crown & Mitre in Carlisle and found our room very pleasant. I think this room has undergone a refurbishment and looked very modern with a lovely walk in shower and nice tidy bathroom.The bedroom is tastefully furnished and painted .We have just finished our evening meal and met up with Alister the restaurant manager and he remembered us from our last time.He hasn't changed a bit and still has his Scottish humour and makes sure the waiting on staff do their job properly. We will be leaving on Sunday and looks like our stay will be very enjoyable. It is really good to stay in a hotel that remains clean and comfortable. Keep up the good work!
Nice little hotel. Rooms were quite dated but clean no AC, small TV. Internet was fast. Room service was good food was great including the breakfast. Service and staff were very good and very polite.
