Ok so this review is based on the uncaring reception colleague. Not an exact transcript, but pretty close:Me: hi, do you have an iron please?Reception: we don't have any leftMe: that doesn't really help me, do you know which rooms have them? Could you check to see if they are now available?Reception: I don't know which rooms they are inMe: so you don't keep a log of where they've gone? Reception: noMe: ok this still hasn't helped me and you've currently offered no resolution. Can you at least attempt to get one for me?Reception: well I suppose I could look in the rooms currently being cleaned, but I doubt there is oneMe: again, a fabulous resolution for me. Can you let me know as soon as you have one?Reception: I suppose so. 1.5 hours later: no iron, no response from reception. Shoddy service. Also, please don't microwave your scrambled eggs. Thanks.
Stayed frm Fri 1st Feb for 2 nights in an executive room no complaints room was large with bath and rainfall shower view was poor with none really but windows opened and the heating was excellent the only downside there was no lift at that side of the building which when you are the wrong side of 60 and have angina makes it a little difficult breakfast was ok and must thank Claudia on reception and Julie i think in dinning.i understand Claudia is moving to a different job which is a shame for the Cumbria Park because she has qualities that you dont always get nowadays

Nice clean hotel, plenty of parking, good value. Only small criticism is that breakfast didn't seem to be able to keep up with the large coach party as well as other guests so you had to wait for some items. All in all a nice place to stay.
Not quite up to the published photo standard. On a positive the staff are excellent and very helpful. Avoid upgrading your room, you'll get a front of house room and that's on a.npisy busy road. The rooms I've been in are all dated and the place smells a little. Breakfast is cooked to order but not that great. One thing in its favour is the place is relatively cheap
